Paul's career in politics is expansive, and the path of which he took was one of grind, passion, and a little bit of luck. In this episode we learn about his experience at his time at UTSA, and how it took him to Austin, Texas to really knock on doors of the Texas Legislature while sleeping on a friends couch to find a job. His experience from a State level is paramount to the value he brings back to the City of San Antonio. Upon coming back to SA, he had opportunities come to him on many special projects, which led to working in multiple districts before an opportunity to work in his home area of District 10. With most professions like his, there is a considerable amount of stress that a person has to be willing to take. Paul learned first hand what over stress does to a person if left untreated, and his mental health suffered. He was turned on the Neurofeedback Training Lab at UTSA, run by Dr. Mark Jones. This form of counseling has helped Paul greatly, and suggest to any Roadrunners out there struggling with panic attacks to reach out for help!
